Get to know Heather…

Heather Johnson has been teaching and training professionally since 2002. She has built her career working with a wide range of horse types and varying levels of horse and rider combinations. Heather specializes in training young horses through the levels of dressage, helping problematic horses relearn the foundations of their training, and building confidence in horse and rider. Heather works with advanced dressage riders, but has clients who compete and train in a variety of other disciplines. She is keenly aware of the importance of fitness, groundwork, and “way of thinking” to the success of a horse and rider relationship.

Heather finds great joy helping her students meet their goals.

In 2020, Heather completed Andrew Thomas' Testt (c) program course titled, "Testt: Understanding rider symmetry for performance - the coaches role" to further her education on rider position and gain tools to help her students find strength and effectiveness in the saddle.

Creating harmony is fun!

“It is not the great trainer who can cause his horse to perform. The great trainer can cause a horse to WANT to perform.”
